Rajan is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of DataPelago, the company revolutionizing data processing for the accelerated computing era. His expertise and visionary approach have been instrumental in shaping the future of data infrastructure and processing. A seasoned innovator, Rajan has successfully driven numerous products to multi-billion dollar success. Prior to founding DataPelago, he served as the CTO of Fungible, where he led the development of the DataProcessing Unit (DPU) architecture, establishing it as a third essential computing socket in modern data centers. At Fungible, he built a world-class engineering team and spearheaded hardware-software co-design innovations.
Rajan’s career spans leadership roles at Cisco, Oracle, and Cavium, where he contributed to groundbreaking advancements in networking and multi-core processor technologies, including domain-specific accelerators for Cavium’s OCTEON processors.
A prolific inventor, with over 150 patents, Rajan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.
