Data is a critical asset in the global economy, but growing data volumes, limited bandwidth, and increasing security threats are straining existing infrastructure. Fast and scalable data delivery is vital for many organizations. While traditional approaches, such as adding costly bandwidth, aim to improve performance, we propose a complementary solution: enhancing the data transport protocol itself to boost efficiency and resilience. This software-defined approach can increase throughput by 10 to 100 times over the Internet. Fully compatible with any IP-based network, it significantly improves data transport performance without requiring infrastructure overhauls. This technology development is funded by a DoD SBIR award. We will present the design concept along with performance results, demonstrating how our software-defined solution enhances data transport efficiency and resilience. We hope this new capability will spark innovation at the application level, and we are actively seeking collaboration opportunities.
